My favourite kind of game.
this thread for any discussion of any MMO, guild wars, WoW, runescape, perfect world.
there's quite alot.

My favourite: Guild wars. But no one else seems to play it, no one i can talk to about it.

I used to play Runescape, but that was AGES ago. I havent actually looked at any others, so I don't know if there good or not...

I still play runescape..i used to be absolutely addicted.
It is a fairly good game, just graphics and lack of freedom with your character makes it not so good.

I thought they updated the graphics??

well yes they have but it's still not that great, espescially not compared to major games like WoW.

Yes, but you do have to pay for WoW, which is not what a lot of people want to do xD

I don't do any MMORPG, because I have forums! There the same, but with the combat parts cut out.

Exactly, which is why i prefer Guild wars. it's cheaper to buy, no monthly fee's and also just a very good game.

Can i discuss why i hate this type of game the most . Or is it a how much you like it thread

Woot! Well i have nothing against RPGs but i hate most MMOs because nearly (apart from F-keys and somtimes WASD) you just click, its boring you put more time into it and get items/levels by clicking. Lets face it you click your avatar runs to it and hits it with a weapon/magic spell untill you get enough gold to buy new items or enough EXP to level up.

Hmmm, yes, there is that part of it.However, many games lack actual combat. Take the Wii for example, I was expecting Sword fights and stuff, but what do I get? Wii sports with Tennis

Arekuzu, some games are like that, Runescape is just click and wait for the creature to die, but it has much more then just combat.

and on Guild wars, it is more complex, you have skills with abilities, so you have to actually pay attention more the fight, and some creatures are diffirent in that mayeb they have a shield or something.
Im not sure about WoW, i only played it once but i think it's similar.

Yeah i know ZigZagas, i used to play Ragnarock, which had a HUGE PvP system inside a giant castle it was like hide and seek with proper gameplay (it was called WoE(World of Emporium(i think))) before the priavte server i played shut down.

Hmmmm...Runescape is the only MMORPG I have ever played. Unless you count Dragon Fable and..the other one. They were terrible, though. Thats why I don't like Pokemon ; Turn-Based combat...

Turn based combat rules but dragon fable sucks! To be honest i play games like Dragon quest and Final Fantasy they rule but mmos like Runescape FAIL.

Pokemon is one of the best games out there IMO. In what other game can you raise a baby dragon/rock thing/toaster from an egg to a all powerful killing machine?

Shin Magami Tensei and Dragon Quest Monsters

They own Pokemon like Square owns Enix

There are only 65 levels to gain though in spore. In Pokemon there are 500

What levels in spore? And you cant get 500 in Pokemon you can only level a creature up to 100 in it?

There are 13 ability's in spore (Creature Stage) that you can get, each has 5 levels. So you can do the maths yourself and work out how many times you can level up. And in Pokemon, you can have a total of 6 pokemon, each can level up to 100, so you can level up 600 times.

...Which takes quite a while on the old games, but the news ones are way to easy.

I honestly have not been on it for a while, so I will find out soon!

i whent on guild wars for a bout a week n that was it, never whent on it again I used to play nd did a bit ago Runescape, Ive had an acoount for eyars now, i think a year after it was create in RS1 (classic for non old RS plyers) RS is the only game that u can actually do loads of other skills than standard combat, like woodcut, fishing, mining, crafting etc. (apart from new DarkFall)

Ive played tones of mmorpg's, some fail some epic some mid. I currently just started 4Story and go on CrossFire (ftw) frequently.
